■ Overview
The domain name ".com" is a Generic Top-Level Domain determines by ICANN. It was uderstood as either international domain names or general domain names. Its name is derived from "commerce,"indicating its original intended purpose for domains registered by commercial organization. Later, the domain opened for general purposes.The domain was one of the original Top-Level Domain in the Internet when the Domain Name System was implemented in January 1985. It has grown into the largest Top-Level domain. .com is operated by Verisign.
Below are the current prices and rules:
■ Regulation Rules
1. Regulation is open both to business entities and individuals. No documents needed for application, however, the registry may audit from time to time.
2. In order to modify making registrant details ,you will need to provide the related documents (e.g. individual/Business Entity certification).
3. Please provide valid information for registration.
4. When a domain name dispute occurs or claims the “right” to register, ,you will need to provide the related documents (e.g. individual/Business Entity certification).
5. Please refer to ICANN's regulations of a registrant rights and responsibilities.
■ Registered Characters/Mutilingual Rules
1. IDN Supported Language:English, Chinese(traditional/simplified).
2. English Registration requirements:
- Minimum length is 3 character, and maximum length is 63 characters.
- The domain only can consist exclusively of the letters A-Z, the numbers 0 - 9, and hyphens.
- Can only have two consecutive hyphens "--" in the 3rd and 4th positions.
- It is banned to register the reserved words listed down by registry.
3. Traditional/Simplified Chinese Registration requirements:(UTF-8 only)
- Punycode:Minimum length is 1 character, and maximum length is 63 characters.
- The domain only can consist Chinese, the numbers 0 - 9, and hyphens.
- Cannot begin or end with a hyphen.
- Can only have two consecutive hyphens "--" in the 3rd and 4th positions.
- Must contain at least one Chinese character.
- It is banned to use both traditional and simplied Chinese in a domain name.
- Chinese IDN can only choose either Traditional or Simplified Chinese characters in a domain name.

■ Renewal/Suspension/Redemption/Deletion
1. Renewal
- Renewal Period: You can renew your domain name at any time before its expiration.
- Price: Please see the price list.
2. Suspension
- Suspension period: 40 days.
- Price: You can renew your domain name at regular price during the suspension period.
- Please note: If you do not renew the domain name after expiration, but before the deletion, the resolution of the domain name will be interrupted on the 8th day and point to our parking page.
3. Redemption
- Redemption period: 30 days.
- Price: You need to pay renewal fee plus redemption administration fee to redeem your domain name.
4. Deletion
- Your domain name may be deleted after your domain expired, however the exact time for the deletion depends on each registry policy.
- A deleted domain name will be opened to registration after the deletion.
■ Transfer to Net-Chinese
1.Transfer Procedures
A. Pay with Credit Card
- Registrant gets the Auth Code from the original registrar for domain name transfer.
- Go to Net-Chinese website and enter Auth Code for domain transfer.
- Complete online credit card payment.
- During the domain name transfer process, Net-Chinese will send an email to registrant to confirm the domain transfer.
- Domain name registrant will receive an email to confirm his/her domain transfer.
- Upon domain name transfer, Net-Chinese need to get the permission from original registrar.
- Congrats on your domain name has transfer into Net-Chinese successfully.
B. Bank wire transfer
- Registrant request the Auth Code from the original registrar for domain name transfer.
- Please fill out Net-Chinese domain name transfer application form.
- Please fax or email the application form and invoice to Net-Chinese.
- During the domain name transfer process, Net-Chinese will send an email to registrant to confirm the domain transfer.
- Domain name registrant will receive an email to confirm his/her domain transfer.
- Upon domain name transfer, Net-Chinese need to get the permission from original registrar.
- Congrats on your domain name has transfer into Net-Chinese successfully.
2. Price: Based on the years of renewal. (at least meets the Minimum Registration Requirement)
3. Fail to transfer
A. In the first 60 days after a transfer or initial registration.
B. The domain is pending dispute.
C. The domain status is “Client Transfer Prohibited”.
D. Domain is expired and lack of payment.
E. Original registrar has the right to reject for domain name transfer.
Remark: There are only few registries do not request the Auth Code for domain name transfer. If you have any question, please contact Net-Chinese customer service
■ Transfer to Another Registrar
1. Login to your Net-Chinese account and click domain name transfer.
2. Net-Chinese will send the Auth Code to your account contact email.
3. After providing the Auth Code to your new registrar, the new registrar will confirm and complete transfer procedures.
Remark:
- If you are not able to transfer your domain via your account, please contact Net-Chinese customer service.
- There are only few registries do not request the Auth Code for domain name transfer. If you have any question, please contact Net-Chinese customer service.
- If the domain name has transferred out from Net-Chinese, Net-Chinese will not be responsible to manage the domain.
■ Ownership Transfer Procedure
1. The ownership transfer must be executed before expiration date.
2. Ownership Transfer Steps:
A. Fill out Net-Chinese Domain Ownership Transfer Form and sign.
B. Prepare related certificate documents.
a. Registrant is a natural person: A copy of personal identification card of passport.
b. Registrant is the legal owner: Business Certification, Certificate of Incorporation.
C. Must pay ownership transfer administration fee.
D. Please fax or email the copy of signed Domain Ownership Transfer Form, related documents and payment receipt to Net-Chinese customer service.
E. After completed ownership transfer, Net-Chinese will send registrant information modify notification to inform new registrant.
3. Price: Ownership transfer administration fee.
4. Please note
A. If there are qualification restrictions on the domain, the transferee needs to meet the qualification requirements.
B. If needed, provide the related certification documents for verification.
5. Following conditions are banned for domain ownership transfer:
A. The domain is pending dispute or in legal procedure.
B. The domain status is Client Ownership Transfer Prohibited.
C. Domain name is expired and payment overdue.
■ Information Modification Procedure
1. Information Modification Steps
A. Please login your Net-Chinese account to modify domain information.
B. If you cannot modify information via your account, please send the email from the initial registrant contact email to Net-Chinese customer service for further assistance.
C. After edited your information, Net-Chinese will send the email to the registrant that the information modification has completed.
2. Price: No need to pay the administration fee.
3. Banned for information modification
A. The domain is pending dispute or in legal procedure.
B. The domain status is Client Update Prohibited.
C. Domain name is expired and payment overdue.
■ Dispute Solution
1. Overview:
- Net-Chinese is not responsible for determining whether the use of your domain name infringes or violates any third-party rights. Net-Chinese is involved neither in litigation with any third parties, nor as a dispute mediator.
- If the domain name violates the rights and interests to any third party (including but not limited to trademarks, service marks, trade names infringement, etc.), the registrants shall bear all the losses and defend and hold to the domain name application of any related departments (including reputational damage, wasted labor costs, litigation and related expenses).
- Net-Chinese may, in accordance with the decision of the institutions which is adopted by ICANN-accredited registrars or certain managers of country-code top-level domains , and Notices of Judgement, and other Notices of Settlement, and carry out the assignment of domain names, or revoke their domain name.
